Terms of service

Last updated 12 October 2026

This is the agreement between you and Clyqra, the sole trader business (enskild firma) that runs Knyte. By creating an account, you accept these terms.

How we handle your personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 and give accurate details. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done from your account, including by assistants you have connected to it.

Your content

What you put in Knyte is yours. You give us the right to store, process and display it as far as needed to run Knyte for you and the other members of your knyten, and to give it to assistants that you or other members have connected.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Articles and course literature are often protected by copyright. Share them only as far as your university’s licences and copyright law allow.

Groups

Everything in a knyte is shared with its members. Inviting someone gives that person access to the whole knyte. What you contribute stays in the knyte for the others, even if you leave it.

AI assistants

When you connect an assistant, you let it act for you within the limits shown when you approve the connection. Everything an assistant adds is marked as the assistant’s contribution, and findings stay proposals until a person confirms them.

Assistants can be wrong. Read what they write before relying on it. We are not responsible for services run by others, such as Claude or ChatGPT.

You are responsible for following your university’s rules on AI and on independent work, and for the content of what you submit.

What you may not do

  • break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights
  • try to access accounts, knyten or data that aren’t yours
  • upload malicious code or disrupt the service, for example by overloading it
  • scrape content or resell access to Knyte

Payment

Group work in Knyte is free. You can unlock premium features in two ways:

  • Term pass: premium features for six months, for you and every knyte you are a member of. The pass renews automatically every six months until you cancel it under Settings. If you cancel, the pass lasts until the end of the period.
  • Project pass: a one-time payment that unlocks premium features for one knyte, as shown at purchase.

The price, including VAT, is shown before you pay. Stripe handles the payment.

You have 14 days from purchase to change your mind. Email hello@knyte.app within 14 days and we’ll refund the full amount, even if you have already started using the pass.

Availability and changes

We do our best to keep Knyte working, but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Knyte is in active development, and features may change or be removed. If a change affects something you have paid for, we’ll tell you in advance.

Liability

Knyte is not a backup of your work. Keep your own copies of what matters, especially your thesis.

We are not liable for indirect losses, and our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the last twelve months. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

Ending

You can stop using Knyte whenever you like and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@knyte.app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. What happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If we make significant changes, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Knyte after that, the new terms apply.

Disputes

Swedish law applies. If we can’t resolve a dispute together, it is settled by a Swedish court. As a consumer, you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (arn.se).
